How to use:
Ordinary USB / PPI mode
For direct connection with your PC
◇ set the PPI / Freeport mode (switch 5 = 0)
◇ set the baud rate (switch 1,2,3)
◇ Set the local mode (switch 6 = 0)
◇ Set 11bits (switch 7 = 0)
For connection with Modem
◇ set the PPI / Freeport mode (switch 5 = 0)
◇ set the baud rate (switch 1,2,3)
◇ set a remote mode (switch 6 = 1)
◇ set 10 or 11bits (switch 7),the bit of each character setting matches with your Modem
Multi-master PPI mode
When the cable is applicable to multi-master mode, no need to set the baud rate switch, STEP7-Micro / WIN software will automatically start to find the baud rate of your CPU, set as follows:
Setting PPI mode (switch 5 = 1)
Setting local mode (switch 6 = 0)
